Installing Topshelf on a Data Logic DL-Axist

Datalogic DL-Axist topShelf Setup

Click Settings Icon at the bottom of the home screen on device
Turn on WiFi if not enabled already
Tap the WiFi section of the settings list
You should see a list of available wireless networks in range. Tap on the one that you’d like to connect to.
Enter WiFi password (if applicable)
Wireless network in list should now say ‘connected’ underneath. If not, please verify your WiFi password/

Open the web browser on the device and navigate to dl.scoutsft.com
Click the ‘Android App APK Download’ Link
In the upper left hand corner of the screen, swipe down the down arrow icon (downloads icon). Or alternatively, navigate to the downloads section in apps list on the device
Tap on ‘scoutSplashScreen.apk’ file
You will be prompted with a ‘Do you want to install this application?’ message. Click ‘Install’ at the bottom of the page
The topShelf app should now be available in your apps list. You can tap an hold the app icon to drag it to the desktop

Click Settings Icon at the bottom of the home screen on device
Scroll to the bottom of the settings list and tap ‘Scanner Settings’
Tap on ‘Wedge’
Ensure the following settings are checked:
- Enable Keyboard Wedge
- Uncheck Keyboard wedge only on focus
Tap back to Scanner Settings main page
Tap Notification section
